Bunny Guinness – Why Breedon Gravel is her preferred self-binding product

Acclaimed landscape architect Bunny Guinness talks about why Breedon Golden Amber gravel is her natural, hard-wearing, paving product of choice.

Sunday Telegraph

Our Breedon self-binding gravel was recently featured in the Sunday Telegraph in an article written by the British chartered landscape architect Bunny Guinness who describes Breedon Gravel as “the one I use most”.  Here she talks about resurfacing her existing Breedon golden amber pathways and terraces and has even created a short video giving instructions of just how to do it!

About the landscape architect

Bunny designs and exhibits at RHS Chelsea where she often uses our material and has been awarded no less than 6 Gold medals – she has created some truly fantastic gardens!

In addition to running her landscape business Bunny is a regular panellist on BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners Question Time and writes a weekly column in the Sunday Telegraph. She has also written a whole host of interesting books celebrating her love of garden design and suggesting solutions on how to make the readers’ space work for them.

An advocate of Breedon self-binding gravel

Bunny has championed Breedon Gravel for many years and uses it throughout her own fantastic garden and on her beautiful terrace area at home.  In the video below she discusses the benefits of using our hard-wearing yet natural product in various settings and describes it as “The perfect, soft-looking, hard-wearing surface”.  She also gives a very informative guide on how to resurface Breedon Gravel areas that may have been laid for many years to bring them back to their former glory.

Projects great and small

As well as domestic projects Bunny also designed and installed the Breedon Gravel footpaths for the visitor centre at Althorp House, where our materials are a favoured choice throughout the stunning grounds.

Testimonial

When asked to comment on why she chooses Breedon Gravel so often Bunny said “it’s a natural, aesthetically pleasing product that is hard-wearing and will last for many, many years.  It’s relatively easy to install and will suit a broad range of uses and designs.  I have laid this material a considerable amount of times, but for those who are novices and would like a little more direction, Breedon have a very informative website which gives information on all kinds of useful topics – including a media clip of how to install.  The sales team are knowledgeable and helpful, and my material always arrives in optimum condition and on time”.
