Our renowned Breedon Golden Amber Gravel has been used extensively on pathways throughout the opulent Buckingham Palace Gardens for many years. It is also a favoured choice throughout both the private and public areas of Sandringham Estate, the much-loved country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen.
Royal Warrants of Appointment are only granted by the two most senior royals - HM The Queen and HRH The Prince of Wales. The late HRH The Duke of Edinburgh was also a grantor until his death in April 2021. Currently there are 850 companies who have the privilege of holding a Royal Warrant in the UK and we are extremely proud to hold ours, appointed by Her Majesty The Queen.
In order to be eligible to receive a Royal Warrant the business or individual needs to have supplied goods or services to a member of the Royal Family for at least 5 years, at that point their application will be considered by the Royal Household Warrant Committee where it is then decided if there is an established trade relationship between the grantor and the company.
Breedon Trading have held their Royal Warrant since 2003 and since such times are honoured to be able to display the Royal Coat of Arms of HM The Queen on our small fleet of Company vehicles working for the Breedon Special Aggregates division.
Our Breedon Golden Amber self-binding gravel is superior to many other self-binding products available due to the nature of the limestone quarried at Breedon Quarry, Derbyshire. It is a crushed and graded hard limestone with a naturally occurring marl content which enables it to bind and provide a hard, durable surface. It is also non-frost susceptible, meaning that it won’t break down over the cold, wintery months and become unusable or slippery. We are hugely appreciative that the Royal Household recognise the quality of our Breedon Gravel and very much look forward to continuing to supply their requirements for years to come.
