St Werburghs City Farm

We recently donated our Breedon Golden Amber self-binding gravel to the wonderful people at St Werburghs City Farm in the heart of Bristol.

Occupying a two-acre Small-holding, one-acre Community Garden, 2.5-acre Conservation Site (Boiling Wells) and 13 acres of Community Allotments, they are an integral part of the local community and have been for the past 40 years! St. Werburghs provide a range of activities that support people to re-connect, learn and grow.

We are pleased to help support The Green Kitchen project which will deliver outdoor cooking, growing and feasting activities to all of their users young and old alike.

Once complete, the Green Kitchen will be used by 750 people per year, as well as supporting wildlife and pollinators. Using a co-design method, they will work with 15 of their service users to design and build the space so that the improvements meet the needs of people with lived experiences of mental ill-health, neurodivergence and/or disadvantage, discrimination, or racism.

We have faith that this determined team will create a hugely beneficial outdoor space that will be both a haven and a productive asset for generations to come.
