The Centenary Garden Project, Exbury
Featured at Exbury Gardens, this is a fantastic example of how our renowned Breedon Golden Amber self-binding gravel works well with modern materials in historical surroundings.
History of the project
Our Breedon Gravel was specified for accessible footpaths in the recently created Centenary Garden to complement the established woodland setting at Exbury Gardens. This special garden was created to commemorate 100 years since the banker and plantsman Lionel de Rothschild founded Exbury Gardens in the New Forest.
Location
Exbury Gardens is a famous garden open to the public near to Beaulieu in Hampshire, it still belongs to the Rothschild family.
Project Details
The Centenary garden was designed by Marie-Louise Agius (Lionel de Rothchild’s great-grand daughter and Chelsea Gold Medalist), she has created a contemporary design whilst incorporating regular nods to the family history throughout. PC Landscapes have done an incredible job in making this impressive showpiece a reality by using the highest quality products and deservedly won The Principle Award at the BALI awards 2019.
